I didn't plan this path, if I'm honest. It started in education consultancy back in India, and when I moved to Brisbane, I began right at the front-line administration, the kind of work where you learn by doing and by getting things wrong sometimes too. Looking back now, I can see how every single role, even the small ones, was quietly teaching me something I'd need later. I managed PRISMS for CRICOS providers. I coordinated international student requirements along with under-18 students by arranging their homestay. I ran data and reporting across multiple campuses. At one stage I was supervising more than a hundred staff, and somewhere in all of that, compliance stopped being a checklist for me and became something closer to a responsibility I actually cared about because I'd seen what happens to students and staff when it's done badly.
Since 2020, I have been Campus Manager at RTO Connect Pty Ltd, and along the way I also stepped into the role of Compliance Manager. This is the work that means the most to me right now. Getting the institute ready for ASQA. Staying on top of PRISMS and CRICOS obligations. Making sure we're meeting what the ESOS Act 2000 and National Code 2018 actually ask of us, not just on paper but in practice. Keeping risk registers honest and current. Being the person who sits across the table from a regulator and doesn't flinch, because the groundwork was already done properly, long before anyone came asking. And just as much, training the people around me not just telling them what the rules are, but helping them understand why those rules exist, so they carry that understanding with them, not just a memory of a training session.
In 2025 I finished my Diploma of Quality Auditing at Swinburne, and I became a qualified Lead Auditor. I'm also a Justice of the Peace in Queensland, which still feels like a strange and lovely thing to say about myself.
If I try to find the thread that runs through all of it, it's this I've always been someone who takes things that feel complicated and overwhelming and makes them understandable. Not simplified in a way that loses the truth of it, just clearer. I train people in a way that actually builds their confidence, not just their knowledge. I bring teams with me, rather than leaving them behind to catch up. These days that shows up as training, mentoring, and sometimes speaking to a room full of people. But whatever the setting, the truth underneath it is simple. I've been exactly where you are standing right now. And I remember what that felt like.
