Over the past 17 years, I have worked across compliance, registrations, training, and leadership in RTO, CRICOS, and NDIS settings. This is the work I have actually done, in the roles I have actually held.
I have managed ASQAnet profiles, prepared and lodged scope change applications, and taken new qualifications through to approval. I've also built new RTO and CRICOS registrations from the ground up, including the policies, evidence, and application work that comes with it.
I'm an Exemplar Global recognised Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 19011). I have conducted internal and third-party audits of RTO, CRICOS, NDIS, WHS, and ISO management systems, as well as mock audits and pre-audit reviews.
I have worked directly in PRISMS for years on CoE issuance, deferment, suspension and cancellation variations, and I have trained admissions and compliance teams to do the same, reducing data errors.
I have supervised more than 100 staff across multiple campuses, and have run team-building and audit-simulation workshops to help teams understand compliance as something shared, not something one person carries alone.
I deliver keynotes and guest addresses on career growth, resilience, and leadership in regulated industries, and I have spoken at various conferences on regulatory reform and compliance culture. But the sessions I deliver to RTOs, CRICOS providers, and community events go deeper. I share my own story of life after an accident doctors said would leave me unable to walk, and how a dream I'd chased all the way to Australia (the dream of becoming a hairdresser) fell apart when I realised I couldn't stand for the hours the job demanded. I found my way forward through a desk job and study in the education sector, and built a career from there. I speak to encourage students, in particular, to stay focused on their studies and build a career in the field they've chosen, because I know what it means to overcome, to rebuild, and to find strength in places you didn't expect.
I mentor compliance staff and teams one-on-one, working through audit skills, regulatory literacy, and confidence in presenting to boards and external auditors. Having built my own career from the ground up, I know what it takes to grow into that confidence, and I bring that same patience and encouragement to everyone I mentor.
